Hi, I’m Kapil Kanth

Over the last 13 years, my path has evolved from the console cables of network engineering to the whiteboards of Google Cloud & Infrastructure Architecture.
While the focus is now on the cloud & infrastructure architecture , the approach remains deeply grounded in the realities of the network. Extensive hands-on work with Data Centers, VXLAN, Cisco ISE, Firewalls, SD-WAN, Application Delivery Controllers and Wireless has shaped a distinct perspective.
This technical heritage does more than just keep the lights on. It serves as a bridge between the infinite agility of the cloud and the necessary rigor of traditional infrastructure. It teaches that the best architectures are those that are lean and precise—where performance is maximized, and unnecessary complexity (and the costs that come with it) is engineered out from day one.
But why a blog in 2025 ? It’s the “Second Brain” We consume endless amounts of information—RFCs, docs, articles—but the human mind isn’t built to hold it all indefinitely. The details of a solution often fade the moment the ticket is closed & Videos aren’t perfect, they take forever to find the data we are looking for..
This blog exists to counter that inevitable drift. It is a collection of personal notes and technical “snapshots” preserved for future reference. It’s a way to ensure that the hard-won lessons of today remain accessible tomorrow, turning fleeting knowledge into a permanent resource.
Beyond the Screen Away from the keyboard, life is defined by fatherhood. Raising a son is a constant lesson in patience and the beauty of the unplanned. It’s a reminder that while we strive for perfection in our systems, there is immense value in adaptability and continuous learning.
This site is quiet by design. It is simply a digital notebook for an engineer who is still figuring things out, one post at a time.
